Guidance for Zoom Meetings
12 September 2020
Before joining one of our Zoom meetings please familiarise yourself with the below guidelines, which are designed to help safeguard our members and leaders.
- When you first join you will find yourself in the ‘waiting room’. You may have to wait a short time for a leader to admit you. This is so we can ensure that nobody other than Unit members join our meeting, and that at least 2 leaders are present before we admit any Explorers.
- If you’ve not used Zoom before, please download the Zoom app on your device in advance.
- You must NOT share the Zoom invitation or joining details with anyone who is not a member of Shipton ESU.
- Please set your screen name to your own name so we know who is who.
- Please mute yourself when not speaking to avoid background noise.
- You should make sure there is a responsible adult close by, as there may be activities that require some element of adult supervision.
- Check there’s nothing in the background that you wouldn’t want other people to see.
- If there are other people in the room (or the TV is on in the background) please ensure there is no inappropriate language.
