Triathlon Marshals Wanted! Ultimate – Alderford Lake – Sunday 6th June 2021
We are fast approaching Triathlon season so our quest to recruit Marshals begins!
Each volunteer will receive £35 donation for their group.
Our first race of the season is the Ultimate Triathlon on Sunday 6th June at Alderford Lake, Whitchurch. We require 26 marshals for the bike course and a further 22 for the main field and lake area. These numbers are split equally between morning and afternoon.
Requirements – Bike Course
AM & PM – 11 Marshall locations
7 individual and 3 pairs
Bike course will require a minimum of 10 over 18-year-olds but …
Explorers – No Meeting 22nd April 2021
There will be no Unit meeting this week (22nd April) as the leaders need to meet again to finalise our plans for the term. Explorers will therefore resume next Thursday, 29th April 2021.
Once finalised we’ll share the term’s programme plan with all members and parents, and the joining details for the session on the 29th will be with you in the next few days too.

For the salsa:
❖ 1 large avocado, peeled, pitted, and diced
❖ 1 diced and de seeded tomato
❖ 1 small shallot, diced
❖ 1 clove garlic, diced
❖ 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced
❖ 1 lime juice
❖ 1/2 teaspoon salt
❖ 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
For the burrito:
❖ 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
❖ 1/4 teaspoon salt
❖ 1/2 lb spicy sausage (such as chorizo, Italian, or anything you like), removed from casings (about 3 to 4 sausages)
❖ 300g of grated cheese (generous, can do 150g)
❖ 4 burrito-size flour tortillas
❖ Vegetable oil
❖ 4 eggs
EuroJam Movie Morning – 8th December 2019
5 Explorers from Shipton ESU are among a contingent from South West Cheshire travelling to Gdansk in Poland to take part in EuroJam 2020. EuroJam is expected to be attended by over 16,000 Scouts from 65 different countries.
As part of their attendance, they have to raise a significant amount of money to help cover the costs of the trip. All proceeds raised at the Movie Morning will go towards their fundraising.
